Hi all,

First off, I have purchased a full copy of Minecraft and love it. I've been working on getting the game to run on my work computer - I have no volume on weekends I literally have been watching movies and playing flash games because there's nothing to do.

My company has blocked my ability to do anything with java, so I can't play through the browser. I'm also unable to connect to the Minecraft servers with my user ID and password, so I'm unable to log in and select offline play.

My question is this - I know that offline play requires the update to occur - if I run my Minecraft file from a USB drive, will it save the neccesary files when I go to plug into my work computer? If not, what should I look for to make this work?

Appreciate your answers in advance, I tried to look but couldn't find any info specific enough to my question.

Problem with this is, while you can download the client and run it from a usb, minecraft will require java to be on each computer and seeing how its blocked on your comp, you will most likely be unable to play

Well, I should rephrase - java is blocked in browser. I can still pull the client up, but it won't let me log in. That's a more than sufficient answer, though. I'll put it on my USB and let you know if it works... thanks!
