Here's the deal. The server has been around for 6 months, there are many small towns. But my users and i all want something, more.. enourmous, something that demands respect and admiration. We will be working on this city for months. If you do not have the motivation or patience, stop reading now.
Server connection = 100mbit Fiber Optic connection located in Dallas Texas.
Goal of the city:
1. To be the largest city ever made on MineCraft.
2. To be full functional, including Subway system, sewer system, malls, movie theater, buildings you would expect to be in a city.
3. To keep us busy for weeks and months to come.
4. To show the world what we can do.
Our city planner:

Has a masters in Computer Science, also studied city planning in university for years.
Make no mistake, he is in charge. If things are not up to spec, they will be removed.
Every zone has been planned. Omni has everything figured out. But is very open to suggestions.
The build site:
Currently it is a 1000x1000 area. It will be unlimited as i clear the area to make room for new buildings. The ground level is at Y:26 this means there is enough room underground for the subway, and enough room above to build anything. The build site is safe, it is in a location no one could possibly walk to. Also BigBrother is installed, so any potential griefers would be rolled back instantly. What you build is safe, guaranteed.

ajokunu - This crazy man is building a 400x400x110 Empire Server Building. The largest i have ever seen. His motivation? To be able to have a great piece of previous work to show his university of previous work he has completed.
krazee - Building a 128 x 128 x 110 structure.
mehekari - Building a marvel of modern art with urzu.

omniglot - City planner. Subway System, Roads, Zoning, The go-to guy for any problems regarding making the city.
xbig_mak_attack - Making the downtown stadium.
