Hi everyone,
Today I lost my important minecraft files. This happend when I was playing minecraft and the power of the computer went off.After that happend I restarted my computer and I tryd playing again, when I logged in at minecraft and wanted to select my own world... I was shocked. The world was away, it wasnt anymore in the worldlist. I tryd to find it at my computer, but I couldnt find it. But it says that alpha saves your files online, so thery are safe. But they wernt saved online... I spendt a lot of time and work at world. What do I have to do now? Does someone know where the files are saved and how to get them back?

I see files there, but how to open? (BTW, I made already an new world at it before I saw your post. So I do see only the new files and an unopenable level-old.dat file.)

On Windows vista/7: click start, search for "%appdata%". Then click .minecraft. saves should be in there.
