Chocolate Covered Strawberries (CCS) Mod!
v1.0.0
Introduction
My name is Riizu, and I am the developer of CCS Mod. CCS Mod is a fun little mod designed to add new features to minecraft, namely in the realm of food. It was initially conceived as a way to learn to mod, but after interest was expressed in taking it further, I have decided to do just that.
Unfortunately though, it is NOWHERE NEAR DONE. So please, take it with a grain of salt. The reason its being released now is the same reasoning behind the mod in the first place: to learn. I want to hear people's feedback, input, and hope for future additions to CCS.
About the Mod
Currently the featureset for this mod is quite small. Currently, we have added:
-Strawberries: These grow on naturally-occuring strawberry bushes, only found in plains biomes
-Super Strawberries: By planting strawberry seeds in tilled earth next to a small patch of water, you will eventually grow a fully matured strawberry stem, which has a chance to produce Super Strawberries. These oversized pieces of fruit will drop 1-4 strawberries at random. (Functions similarly to Melons)
-Strawberry Swords: Crafted just like a regular sword. Replace blade material with strawberries
-Chocolate Rabbits: Found to roam plains and forests, both in the winter and the summer. They have a chance to drop a "mysterious substance."
Known Issues
-Strawberry Swords are seriously overpowered. This was initially meant as a test item anyway. It'll be changed in the future.
-Seeds cannot be found in the world. Currently, if you would like to grow your own Super Strawberry, you will need to cheat in seeds.
-Mysterious Substances have no use. This is intended to be implemented later on.

So it's a original 'Him' owner of the account deadlypixel69 is it. Still cool, have to see if I can get CCS working. Mods don't seem to work for me sometimes...
Lol yes originally this is my account. Cassidy does use it quite a bit though ;)
But regardless, as to installing it just make sure you install forge and follow the easy 1-2-3 steps in the first post. (lol derp I made mistake of trying to install it without forge didn't go well)
Still can't get it to work! Even without inculding CCS and just using Minecraft Forge.
It stops at the end of Done Loading, and freezes. I have followed the instructions, and double checked that I have deleted the META-INF folder, but it still freezes!
Perhaps to simplify matter you could provide a copy of .minecraft with it all set-up. This would help me, and others who occasionaly get problems with installing mods, and it would hit the target audience of those who don't install mods because they can't be bothered.
Here you go Usoka. Just simply extract the zip file somewhere, then put both the bin folder and the mods folder in your .minecraft. DO NOT EXTRACT THE MODS!!! Leave them where they are at in the minecraft folder.
Then simply rename the minecraftFORGE.jar to the minecraft.jar (re-name original to something like minecraftorig.jar)
Download for pre-made jar here
(includes Clay Soldiers Mod because it was already in there anyway)
Quick progress update.
Currently have our first machine, the juicer, functional for the most part. Still need to add progress animations, work in the ability for more than one output, and then we'll be ready to move on to some new machines. :D
Thanks for the deadly. I don't know what I had done wrong...
I am surprised at the scarcity of strawbeery bushes, and how little they drop strawberrys. I got 1 strawberry out of 6 bushes I punched! Is there perhaps some way to harvest more efficiently? Oh yeah, and how are the machines meant to be powered?
Thanks for trying out the mod Usoka!
Currently, it truly depends where you are. My test world had a plains valley FULL of bushes. ;) They blend in pretty well with tall grass though. In that case, in 2 mins I can get tons and tons of strawberries. So we shall see. If I hear more people complaining about lack of strawberries, maybe we'll add another biome.
As for power, right now, we're playing with a 2 tier system. The first would be manually powered by pressing a button to represent physical interaction (such as pushing down on a fruit to juice it). My plan is to have each press generate a random amount of strength between a set range. Thus juicing a strawberry could take 2 presses, or 15.
The second tier would involve automated machines, running on some form of fuel. No plans currently to use an existing system (such as Buildcraft's engines, or IC2's EU system) but we'll see. ;)
PLEASE don't hesitate to suggest more ideas! We love the feedback!
P.S. Ya'll should show some love on the MC Forums thread too.
Perhaps you could make it work with BC and IC2 energy system, at the same efficiency, or slightly worse, then what you create for your own power system, thus making them usable, but not the recomended power source.
We'll talk about that and see whether or not we want to implement a BC or IC2 sort of powerized function. It wouldn't be bad, but it just depends on what exactly we plan to do with the mod of course ;)
Alright guys, so we've been updating the mod since the last release, haven't been able to add a whole lot of course because of christmas time coming around and we haven't been able to get ahold of our computers ;) but I hope to release an update to the mod sometime soon!! Just hang on a tad bit longer!!

Just sayin ;)

Original topic includes some screenshots, ideas, and also slightly more info about mod.
(NOTE: We have already addressed the issue with the chocorabbit spawnegg name. We have fixed it but have not had time to re-upload the mod file. We will fix the spawnegg colors at a later date).
