I've been having this problem, Notch is messing up the Minecraft website again I guess, so we'll have to wait that out.

World of Minecraft laggy
Can somebody help me my World of Minecraft is laggy while selecting server and it took a hours to make it work again pls help me D:

Goto Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del) and goto the Processes tab, right click on javaw.exe, press set priority... and press high.
Another way is to use set affinity, and untick all of the CPU's and press on CPU 0.
In-game, there are three options:
1. Set graphics to fast in the options menu.
2. Press F to reduce rendering distance.
3. Wait till the world loads up.
If those don't work:
Have you got Java Update 24?
Have you got Minecraft Beta 1.3?
