Minecraft crahses

Hello,
I'm playing MC for a few months and I really like it.
Since the beginning i got the problem that MC sometimes, all of a sudden crashes. Sometimes it said "Java Error", but i tried to solve that with downloading the newest Java.
Since i downloaded the pre-release 1.8, it's a complete hell. It crashes every 5 minutes, can't do anything :( Am i the only one with this problem?
Could anyone please help me with this? It's getting pretty annoying.

yeah
thats the point of the pre-release, people can tell mojang what bugs and crashes there are so that they can be fixed for the actual release.
so i expect it will be better when it is released tomorrow

so do i, i keep trying to use furnaces, then crashing, then thinking 'crap why do i keep doing that'

i get crashes when doing certain things:
playing the game on high performance crashes it in about 3-5 minutes
using furnaces is just plain broken
