Installing textures easily!
Here's a tutorial on how to change your crosshair. I haven't seen any tutorials on this yet so I thought I'd see if anyone would like to try. Thanks to Tehelee for helping me get my textures; I found this out, also I saw a comment on a forum post that needed help on changing your crosshair. NOTE: You need hacks for this, it works on current client, I'm not sure on previous the version or versions.
*First, open up WinRAR and go to womclient-1.5.9, then go to lib, then go to minecraft.jar, then go to gui (folder), then you should see two files; gui.png and icons.png.
*Next, right click on icons.png and rename to iconsoriginal.png so you remember that that's the one that is the original for future changes or want to go back to original.
*Next, right click on iconsoriginal.png and click 'extract to specified folder', then extract it to your womclient or your other Mineraft folder.
*Next, close out of WinRAR and open up your paint program (Photoshop, Paint.NET, etc. I use Paint.NET.)
*Next open up iconsoriginal.png, then edit the crosshair. You will have to zoom into the top-right corner because that is where the crosshair is, you will not be able to see it without zooming. In Paint.NET, press z. Then, edit the cross hair in that area. My pictures will have me editing them if you want to see what I mean.
*Next, save file as icons2.png for you to know that is the second one and for if you were to make others or to remember that icons2 is not the original. There is going to be more renaming.
*Next, close Paint.NET and open up WinRAR. You should be at the gui/icons folder already, if you don't just go there. Then right click on gui.png (nothing related to gui, right click gui to bring the help menu) and click 'add files to archive' and find and click on icons2.png.
*Finally, rename 'icons2.png' to 'icons.png'. When it is there and named icons.png, exit join a server and you should see your new crosshair.
Note: Changing the name from icons2.png to icons.png is important because run.bat is using the name icons.png not icons2.png. So, take out the '2'.
If you do not see your new crosshair, meet me online or message me for questions and help.
Also if cannot see the picture, I try get a link.
