My computer is an
Asus x77j with Nvivida Optimus. The bad thing about Nvidia Optimus is that it
won't use the best graphic card automatically while playing Minecraft, for some
reason. That makes it lag so much so it gets impossible to play. It is possible
to do make the computer to use the best graphic card in the Nvidia control
panel by telling it to run javaw.exe with the best graphic card. That is what I
did.
It no longer lagged
and I played Minecraft with no problems. I played Minecraft for a couple of
months and always did the same thing: Launch Minecraft Singleplayer and play on
the same save. Suddenly one day, when I launched Minecraft it started to load as
normally, but nothing happened. Then everything freezes (except the mouse).
After a few seconds the mouse freezes too. When I pressed Ctrl+Alt+Delete
nothing happened. The only way out was
to hold start button in five seconds. That happens every time I try to launch
Minecraft. I found out that if I change javaw.exe back to the way it was
(running it with the integrated graphic card), that won't happen. But then I
have to play with the damn lag.
I uninstalled Java
and installed it again, but the same thing happened. Then I deleted the
.minecraft folder and downloaded it again, but the same thing happened. I don't
know what to do to make it stop freezing.
Please help me.

I've found out how to fix the problem! I just had to update Nvidia Optimus. Just search ''Nvidia Optimus update'' on Google and you'll find it.
Hope it works for you :D
