minecraft freezes, help

I made a toic before and got a few replies but not many... so here's whats up...
Hey, I recently changed laptops and when i play minecraft, it's works, hardly any lag but when i press E too open my inventory it crashes, i have played minecraft fine on this laptop before so I'm not sure what it could be.
It doesn't come up with the 'minecraft has crashed' page but instead just freezes...
i have deleted .minecraft and played again so everything re-installs or whatever, but it still happens
I have 'Mod-Loader' and 'Optifine' installed.
I am now playing with no mods installed and even now, when i press E too bring up my inventory the game freezes and makes me restart my laptop, all help is appreciated...

Advent 5421 but i have used this laptop fine for minecraft in the past and recently had it repaired as it was broken

What kind of laptop do you have? i have 2 i got a mini one and a gaming one if you got a bad one i say you should get a gaming one ps optifine doent do anything whith the crash pps im using my small laptop right now
