Hi everone,
I just bought Minecraft and downloaded the Beta 1.3. The problem is when I start the game and login I click on single player and for some secounds nothing happens. After this few secounds the window just closes and nothing happens.
So do you guys know this problem? Is this a bug or is there something wrong with my pc o.0?

ok, go to C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_07\bin in your windows explorer, and look for a .exe named jucheck.exe run it, with no browsers open, and it will look for a java update, that is what is causing your minecraft to crash.

also, you might have to delete your worlds, as they may not be compatible with your updated version of minecraft.

There is no jucheck.exe in my Java folder...
Where can I find the maps that I should delete?

I don't have that .exe file in my java folder either. Do you have any other suggestions?

go to http://www.java.com and look for an update page, then down load either a patcher or a full installer, and try to install it.

I reinstalled java and it seems to have done the trick! Thanks for all the help veniteo! :)

The update for Java didn't help fix my crashing problems.

I went to run then %appdata% and deleted the .minecraft file

I have a problem, I accidently erased Appdata/Roming/.minecraft file and can not install it again. what can I do?

create a file of the same name, and run minecraft.exe, see if that works, if not, come back and tell em what it does / says.

I have the exact same problem!
Same goes for trying to play on my browser. I just get the black screen after clicking single player. :(
