minecraft wont run on microsoft emachine. need help

i try to load minecraft on my parents' microsoft emachine and have the latest adobe flash player but i cant load any multiplayer maps but i can load single player juss fine. any ideas?

ive tried google chrome and thats where this problem persists but then my friend (onager17 cuz hes a pimp :P) told me to try internet explorer coz he says google chrome doesnt like minecraft basically. well i tried explorer and this time it loads for a half second and then turns black. anybody halp plox?
