lol idk man if you put minecraft.jar in the lib folder you SHOULD not get the error. can you take a screenshot of where you put minecraft.jar and whatnot and upload it here?

quick Q. How are you starting up the client and does it come up with any specific error message? the Minecraft.jar looks to be in the right place from what I can tell, any more details would be helpful

the minecraft.jar cannot have the extension behind it. the name of it should be EXACTLY Minecraft
