Hello out there in minecraft land..Im Mavell and i haven't been able to play minecraft for 2 months now....
it used to work but than i got an ati video card.. now i miss my crappy integrated graphics. and despite how much better my other 3d programs run im about to pull it back out just to play minecraft. Ive tried everything but whatever the f*** i have to do to fix this. ive tried sputcrafrt, different java versions, changing dlls in my .minecraft and system 32 folders. every setting possible in the ati ccc has been tweaked and retweaked with no satisfaction, countless forums, there are now 4 options left..
1- erasing my harddrine and starting from scratch with a new username that sn't 45 characters long... don't even know if that would work but i didn't try it yet
2-Pull out the Ati card uninstall all traces of it and reinstall the graphics accelerator for my integrated graphics. will work but will make daz3dstudio almost unusable. im an artist so that would be very annoying to me.
3- Increase my ram from 1.25gb to 4gb and cross my fingers- This won't work but more ram cant hurt anything but my wallet.
4-Buy something other than a dell.... had an emachines once...hence my hesitation to invest in the unfamiliar.

I'm not too good with things like this either, but I agree with roland as it seems like it has the most chance of working to me, but I really don't know.

I really don't think that would be the problem because my computer has an accelerator the one i uninstalled was for the integrated Extreme graphics 2. and since i now have the ati card i thought that would be a conflicting driver to have installed. please correct me if im wrong i don't know too much about driver configuration when it comes to computer gaming.

Also my roming folder inside of the addpdata folder keeps going hidden on me. its still there i just cant seem to get it to stay visible.
Also when i play in browser, minecraft can't locate worlds so it wont let me save anything. when i try to locate the world myself in the folder i know its in i don't see it there through the "browse" menu.. definately part of the problem but im just overstressed with this at this point.

Well, I'm not the best with this stuff, but I would guess that reinstalling the accelerators could solve the issue, and you can never have enough RAM ;)
