Multiplayer survival bug

I play Multiplayer Survival mode with my friend. But all animals and us and mobs are invicible :( It suck cause we can't kill the mobs for getting gunpowder and stuff :( Do you know why?

But me and my mate found a setting so we can get mobs to spawn everywhere now. But we can't kill them :/

It's because multiplayer isn't done yet. Enemy mobs don't spawn (Except maybe in dungeons), and the mobs which are there are invincible.
It's really only good right now to use the new features of alpha.
