I think he downloaded a file and now we only see a black and then a blank white screen. We Java 6. I alos found this file on our desktop with the following info. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Your 9 year old was making a server and not playing Minecraft. Tell him to delete the server files and redownload Minecraft from the website. Here is the link : http://www.minecraft.net/download. Click the Minecraft.exe file and that's how you play Minecraft. Don't make a server with the Minecraft_Server.exe. If his jar file is corrupted, then do this :
