I have been playing minecraft since around the start of 2010. I have always liked this game but now it dosnt work. The only thing i can do is sign into my account. My Beta and my Classic dont work. I cant even use solo! This never used to happen, i stopped playing this game for a couple of weeks because it was getting in the way of my exams. So now i have come back and its like dead. Everytime i goto Classic, it just come up with a black screen with a red explanation mark in the corner and thats it. And with my Beta, everytime i goto update it just says 'Failed to launch/Data roaming." can anyone please help? i love this game and i didnt pay for this. :(

i do have a roaming folder but i dont know why it aint letting me. i might of accidently deleted the .minecraft jar for my beta. is there away i can redownload that folder for my beta?

my advice would be to just re-download everything

how would i do that?

assuming you are using windows:
1) press start
2) in the search box, type "run" and press enter
3) in the box that pops up, type "%appdata%"
4) delete your .minecraft folder
5) goto http://www.minecraft.net/ and redownload minecraft
6) test it and come back with the result

go into %temp%
find www.minecraft.net
delete it go onto it and see if classic works
with beta delelte .minecraft backup all stuff you want then redowload it

I'm gonna take a guess that failed to launch/Data roaming means you don't have a Roaming folder, meaning you should log on to minecraft.net and download another version of minecraft. Sorry if this wasn't helpful and good luck!
