So, I need to find a jungle temple, I just have to get the special stones. I guess the first step is to find a huge jungle biome, that is unexplored... This time I will start my expedition well equipped and with a lot of time. How long will this take days? weeks?
Day 1
I start my journey well from Hallyntown. Ran by Rich_1's house and Awesome's pumpkin farm, swam an ocean and then... the endless wilds of minecraft. At least the weather is fair.
Sun was setting when I entered the first winter biome... It is gigantic... there is even a plains biome inside of it. After over 1000 blocks of pure winter, I rest the eat and climb a distinct hill to sign it. Nothing but winter around me. The Taiga ends at a beach... what will I find on the other side of the ocean.
Trees! 4000 Blocks out... but alas, the wrong kind. And then in the middle of a forest in the middle of nowhere - an apple... what other traveler may have wandered here. The forest is not only big, it is strange too, parts consist only of monster trees.
That forest was even bigger than the taiga... I am out nearly 7000 blocks, before me lies extreme hills. I will scale them tomorrow, found a nice spot for the first basecamp, one could really settle here.
On my expeditions I use a boat instead of walking over the sea. It quicker and you can rest and eat, you can even write in your book there on the way.

Indeed I used a boat for the second ocean... it looked so big...
Day 2
Did not come far today. Met young DVerbi, who is a little lost on this new world, so I offered him to stay at the outpost. It is a great place, plenty of game around and of course the extreme hills to mine. I am curious if he will stay and settle here...
I climbed the biggest hill I could find and finally I saw Jungle. Tomorrow I will take a look if it is Jungle hills or real Jungle. Should be interesting.
ya know if your just after mossy cobble its not just at jungle temples
ya know some people like the story, right?
Day 3
Yes, it was a real Jungle! A wonderful huge one as it is. :-) As I stood there, watching the towering trees, I realized I had no idea how to best find a temple in all this... well ... jungle.
I decided to follow the direkt approach: Cutting a straight line into it until I emerge at the other end. Every now and then I would climb one of the giant trees and look around. At the far side, I will repaet the process, with perhaps 50 blocks space between the cut ways.
At the edge of the jungle, there is a truly remarkable rock formation... It is nearly a finished castle, perhaps I will return some day and build something here.
I will return for the night to my outpost, I was attacked by some nasty skeletons, they left some bones and arrows. Not really dangerous, but I think I will wait for tomorrow before venturing into the green hell.
With the bones get a wolf or two. Next when under attack you only have to hit the mob once and then your wolf/s are on to it. Sometime the wolf will run ahead of you. So if there a pit ahead, the wolf will be the first to yelp about it. Also good company for when your on a lonely sojourn.
THIS STORY IS AWESOME
Day 4
Another lonely night out here. DVerbi went missing, I hope he did not fall from one of these hills. If you haven't got the right boots, they can be deadly.
I think I know why many adventurers recommend keeping a dog. It keeps you from going crazy or at least it hides the fact that you are talking to yourself... right into this thoughts burst a hungry wolf. It barked and growled and I was quite happy for my armour. I think this feeling of relative safety gave me the time to think and not just attack the intruder.
Remembered the bones I collected yesterday and carefully slowly took them out of my backpack... the hungry growl changed to changed to an enthusiatic munching and crunshing and several bones and steaks later I had a new friend.
I will call him Mortimer. As you can see, I already taught him the first trick.
So, no longer alone I strove forward, hacking my way into the jungle, wondering what might await me... After a dozen blocks there was nothing but green walls, you loose all sense for direction. I think I will climb that tree and have a look around before calling it a day. Gotta cook for Mortimer and me.
Lawl. He has an enchanted wooden shovel.
I enjoy reading this.
Thank you Lunick.
Pikminpro, we use wooden shovels to claim blocks in World of Minecraft - and I decided to do that in style...
Day 6
The night was remarcably peaceful (if you ignore the noise of the jungle). I guess in this dense undergrowth the monsters can't walk very far. So the only thing to watch out for are spiders. Hate them! The sound of them alone gives me the creeps. Albeit they have lost much of their terror when I forged my trusty sword. A fine diamond blade with bane 4 and flame 2 - it cuts through spiders like morning mist.
I am happy to report that Mortimer did not bolt at night. He stayed like the good dog he is where I told him to guard the night. Propably he knew I would feed him in the morning. ;-) My travel is slowing more and more, as the terrain gets more difficult by the block. It's not only the trees and brushes, but there are hills underneath and you can't see casms or holes in the ground until you nearly drop into one...
Perhaps I will explore one of these caverns, but at the moment I try to cover ground and climb one of the junge giants once every 50 blocks. Tedious work, I am more than glad I am not alone and can talk to Mortimer. After 700 blocks I had enough... the jungle seems endless.
I noticed some cows between the green, when I last climbed a tree... went to hunt them, as I have to watch my rations for we are now two mouths to feed. As you can see, my sword has another wonderful advantage... InstaSteak!
i was lucky to find one not so far from spawn now i made it into my house and looted it form anything worthwhile if you realy need the chisseled brick place a donation box near x -900 y 86 z -200 and mark it with a small coblestone tower with torches i will give you 1 chissled brick for free
You don't have to feed your wolf much, only when you first gotten him, to keep faith. Keep an eye on their tail as it is an indicator of your wolf health. Tail down, sick wolf. Feed em Rotten Flesh and up go his tail.
Feed two wolfs to get a pup. You must then feed your new little one three rotten flesh to get his tail up for the very first time of his life!
Always keep some horrible rotten flesh on you for your pet wolf.
Yes yes Wolfly I'm back and I have your stinky rotten flesh...
What an Idea! To feed that stinking, rotten flesh to my trusty friend and comrad Mortimer... as he has just saved my live... but I need to write the whole story... tomorrow.
Good Dogy... :) here is your steak.
well i usually don't like these kind of stories
but that was actually fun to read please do continue
maybe get an antagonist? i'd race you to find a temple!
