Since you hava Java 7, you should downgrade to Java 6 becasue Java 7 does not work with World of Minecraft Client. For more deatils, click on http://www.worldofminecraft.com/content/java-7-and-World of Minecraft-clientclassic-minecraft. Well for me, Java 7 works on World of Minecraft Client.

Correct title of this thread should actually be, my computer is not running the World of Minecraft client, or my computer is not working as the World of Minecraft client works just fine, but you can't put water in a gas tank and expect it to drive...

Do you still have Java 7 installed? If so, you must get rid of it. Do you have Java 6 installed? Did you click on the link that I gave you? Although Java 6 AND Java 7 are installed, you must get rid of of Java 7. Click on the link above for more details. Make sure you do every step that the link gives you.
I also heard that a few people migrated to their Mojang account. If you migrated to it, click on http://www.worldofminecraft.com/content/those-having-trouble-logging-client-mojang-account
If it didn't work out correctly, you messed up in one of those two. Make sure you not check, not double check, but TRIPLE check afterwards. Make sure you read the links. Also, tell me what happened afterwards and what you did.

mine does not open it says username/password is incerect or there are no survers to verify your log in. any one know why this is?

Do you have Java 7? Yes ... Should this be 6 instead of 7? Actually I'll try downgrading it and see if that helps.
Do you have a mojang account? Does that mean sign in with the email address or the paid version? I have a free account. I sign in with a username not the email address.

Java 7 does not work with the World of Minecraft game client. You will need to find Java 6 if you wish to use the client.
With a Mojang account you must use your email and not your username to login. When you do select a server you will need to remove your email out of the game URL and put your username.

Still attempting to figure this out. Had a friend who has bought minecraft try to login. Their account works goes straight to the select a server list. So I'm assuming you have to own an account to play classic with World of Minecraft? Also

Edit: Apparently they can log in, get to the server list. But can't choose a server or type anything in the filter field. Just stalls at the screen and freezes? But is selectable and can move the window around.
Read another post. Seems I shouldn't be having this issue. Guess I'm stuck with using the minecraft site to play the game. :/

Look I think it is a problem with minecraft. When I tried to log on without client, It did http://www.worldofminecraft.com/content/minecraft-applet-error<----- that.
So, I would not blame the client, or your computer first. It might be something wrong with minecraft classic.

Did you try: Changing to Java 6? If you did, go to Control Panel, "add or remove programs. Find Java 7,remove it. If this doesn't work, re-download the client. If you still cant connect,try using direct connect. Still won't connect, try just using minecraft.net .if it doesn't work, make sure the client isn't fire walled. Tell us what happened if it didn't work...
