Need help using WoMclient in Linux

Whenever I try to join a server, I get the error

Logging in works fine, I can see the server list, but the only thing I can't do is actually go on a server.
Anybody know any fixes for this?
ALSO: A minecraft.jar that has not been edited at all lets me join the server, except it goes to the esc menu every time I click. Not enjoyable.
