If you don't want that TNT grief to happen, try the Noexplosion server mod, Control (a person I play with on a server) uses it because he accidentally blew up a bunch of the Snowball Arena with TNT. We haven't used it yet so I don't know if it will just allow you to break TNT without exploding it or something.
