New player with some questions
Hi there,
I downloaded the game last week and brought the game the next day. Been having lots of fun in the single player mode, playing survival.
Im thinking about starting a new world now that I have an idea of what I'm doing but wanted to check a few things first.
When I try to play multi player the list of servers is blank. Im assuming all servers are invite only?
Im a tech-nub and new to online gaming so bear with me.
Could anoyone give me an idea of what its like playing multi player? Are we in the same instance together? How much interaction do we have? Can we wander through eachothers homes/ mines etc.
Who runs the worlds, do you get sercure and unsecure ones? I have a little experiance in gaming, is it pvp/ pve type thing?
I want to build biiiiiig, set up a nice home, expand a nice mine and build a huge home.... But dont want someone else stealing the corner stones when Im not looking :)
Any advice or direction to a thread would be greatly appreciated. I did have a look but alot of the terminology is confusing to me.
Brilliant, Thank you Jak

You cannot need the server list because you need to have the server ip address to join it, this will be on the server's website if it has one.
You could just search in google for a good server.
Playing multiplayer is exactly like single player, except there are other people in the world with you, you can interact with them and if it is a pvp server, you can hurt them.
Yes you can enter other people's buildings and have a look around, you can give blocks to other people, or go on adventures together.
About your building, some servers do offer protection for buildings/projects. If you do find a good server with a protection system, then you will be able to build biiiiiig and not risk people breaking your property.
Quite a lot of servers have a money system where you can sell blocks that you do not need and get money for them. This money can then be used to buy different blocks, or buy houses, or many other things on different servers.
If you have any more questions come back here, and about the terminology confusing you, try looking at the wiki: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Minecraft_Wiki
