No paypal or credit card?

Is there anyway to pay for premium and support Notch besides paypal or credit card? I went about the route of getting a prepaid visa gift card and registered it to the website on the back of it. I then tried to purchase Minecraft and it gives me the error message:
Your credit or debit card has been declined for this transaction; PayPal could not validate the card. Please verify that the information you entered is correct, or try a different credit or debit card.
I then went and made a paypal account and registered the gift card to it, and then tried the purchase process again and still gives me the same error.
The card works perfectly on Steam, so that is proof that it is not a problem with the card itself, but with paypal. There is enough money on the card for Minecraft, far more than enough, (I just checked) so there isn't an issue there either. Can anyone suggest some solutions? I've been looking everywhere for a week, (that is how I came across World of Minecraft's website) and other people have come to solutions of "it just worked" without explaining their exact process.

Have you tried transferring your funds from the giftcard to your paypal account, then buying the game like that?

I have the same problem with buying minecraft... I've tried transferring the funds from the giftcard to paypal but people say paypal doesn't accept gift cards so what do I do now?

maybe ask ya mom or dad or
maybe ask ya mom or dad or some1 that has vista, let them buy the game, and u give them the money! thats what i did :P
