I obtained the World of Minecraft Client in the interest of doing some custom building. I wanted to be able to use the hacks you guys so graciously provided, because doing it the "old fashion'ed" way sucks.
PROBLEM:
none of my hacks work
THINGS IVE TRIED: (and failed)
re-downloaded client (twice)
changed out minecraft.jar(at least 3 times)
turned off virus protection/spyware protection
pressed x then q
re-started computer
tried to use hacks in and around multiple servers
checking if I am a spectator (which I am not)
ticked/unticked the hacks enabled button at the top of the client
switched compatability mode to Windows XP SP2(and SP3)
SYSTEM:
Windows 7 x64
Java 6.21(latest revision)
Firewall is up (windows based firewall)
AVG anti-virus
Spybot and Ad-aware anti-spyware
Everything is up to date.
I'm not aware of any problem programs...... if there was a list...
NOTES:
today (10/10/10, 1 pm local time) I was on the same server I've been on, and was able to use my hacks. I havent done anything to my computer differently than what I did before I was able to use my hacks, and cannot for the life of me repeat what I did to get them active.
What can I do now?

yup. So far i've re-downloaded the client, gotten a .jar file from someone who's flying works. in the cmd line It doesnt reconigize that the keys i'm using for the fly actually work, but i dont know If there is a way to know or not. The hacks enabled box is ticked, and it still wont work.
Also, I'm pretty sure i'm not a spectator, but the list is so long, kinda hard finding my name.
Also created a second account and tried that, to no avail.

Make sure you are using the .jar file as shown in the custom client page

and understand that not all servers work with the 'hacks', some even deliberately remove the use of the 'hacks'.
Try testing it out on the World of minecraft servers.

Lastly, make sure 'enable hacks' is checked.

How to check if your specced. Either 1 go in a World of Minecraft server, your name will be black. Or 2 check the spec list. Use ctrl+f to find it quicker.

gotten a new .jar (third one) still nothing, been to a World of Minecraft server (name is fine).
enable hacks is checked.
in refernce to not all servers having hacks, everyone else on the server is using them, I've also visited several other servers where I viewed random people using the hacks, and talked to admins who were using them, and yet I still cannot.

I know this is kind of a stupid question, but have you extracted the file and have done the other directions? Try reading over the Readme.txt file.

Hacks aren't working for me either.
I loaded a flat map (its not a server, its a single player map.) I tried to use the fly hack and speed hacks but neither are working =/
