Ok so i downloaded Minecraft while server is free ( I intend to purchase when Server back up) but when i run the minecraft.exe file nothing happens. . . .at all.
I have diasabled firewall, and any virus checks, ive made sure file is .exe.
My comp is an XP with decent specs but file just wont run.
Any suggestions?

Me too! Error sound and everything! Is it meant for another operating system?

(right click the exe, select Run as administrator)

I hope this works, I'll have to ask for the admin password, even though I think I am admin... EDIT: Is there any other way to play this?

Either download the Alternate Minecraft download, or Update your Java. One of the two will fix this problem for you. :)

Same for me, running XP and all that happens when i try to run the minecraft.exe is a "error sound" :(
