Hello, there! I am Ovus! Obviously!

I hail from the server Occam, a new, baby powder fresh Survival Multiplayer server with a heavy focus on aesthetic greatness and community pooling. Specifically, we are looking for new players with a flair for design who would be interested in participating in the construction of a rather large, team undertaking: Occam City. Beyond that, players are free to come and go as they please and build wherever they like, as long as the territory hasn't already been claimed. The only stipulation is that players must create aesthetically appealing structures (creating cool stuff with redstone is also acceptable), as well as adhere to these four rules:

The requirement for aesthetic skill is reasonable, not too high, not too low. To give you an idea of what level of aesthetic skill we're looking for, this is a new screenshot of my personal work in progress, the starting town of Vanillaville, which I've been working on, legit (no infinidev), for a day or two now.

The creation of Occam City will likely be much the same in style as this, but much, much grander. Players are encouraged to claim plots of land in and around the city to build their own houses and other sorts of facilities. We intend for the city to be as large and beautiful as humanly possible.

In the future we will be putting together a stadium for gladiator matches where a pair of players will be unleashed by two iron doors into an arena to fight to the death. The cost of the official tournaments will be one diamond block (9 diamonds total) to enter, winner take all. Each block will be on display throughout the tournaments on a pedestal just above the arena, and depending on how many players enter, the haul will be quite glorious. Even if only six or so players enter, the tournament champion will take home 54 diamonds or more.
