Recently i managed to dig out my parents old computer and i was wandering if it could run minecraft. Its pretty old (at least 7 years old). I've wanted minecraft for quite some time and i want to purchase it now it is in realese state. Here is my compuers specs:

1gb of ram
AMD athlon xp2400 + 2.00GHz processor
32 bit operating system
Im not a computer wiz, i only know the basics so if you could simplify the awnser to somthing like wheather it will work and if it does, what would be a estimate of the average frames per second. I am also willing to play it on low settings.
Thanks

Lol

Not sure. Your processor can handle it (I have the same one) but the 1GB of RAM will make you lag really badly, even on low settings

It will lag like f***

It will lag alot I have about the same age and ram but if you download a mod called OptiFine it will help. And also since the 1.0.0 update for Minecraft you SHOULD in settings, change the particles setting to low. If not it will lag enough to not even play minecraft. I recommend that you shouldn't play it on a computer like that though. And ALSO if you play on singleplayer or multiplayer you WILL get at least 5 fps... If you look up at the sky ingame you will probably get 15-30 fps... That is all I know!
