I have made some pretty cool maps oon Omen but i've now realised my Omen will not save the .dat files. It doesnt come with an error its just that I save them and they are not in my documents or the place that I saved them in. Can anyone help?
Yeah - (Omen 070)
Save it as .mclevel, and if you have bought the game (5$ isn't much if you haven't done so already), you can go to the minecraft homepage and click on "Try the latest unstable version" or something, (it's at the bottom of the page). Click load level, and then when looking for the file go to your desktop, then click X.mclevel that you saved earlier. boom
it saves the .mclevel fine but not the .dat files. Also it says "Unable to find the level class. Check whether minecraft-server.jar is in your classpath." That stops it loading a map aswell!!
Is your OMEN files in the same folder as the vanilla server files?
Problem solved through email.
For others with this problem, simply redownload OMEN and the Minecraft Server software, once you start it you should receive an error, but after that it will continue to work.
Cool, I got it to work

I'm still having the same problem... your meaning this omen and this server files, right?
Yes, but make sure you remove the originals and try downloading the files to your desktop.
Don't listen to these guys. After searching around (and having the same problem as you) all you need to do is: Get the server jar from the vanilla server files (the one on minecraft.net) and place it in your omen folder. Since the jar is property of Notch they're not allowed to package it with.
I wish Omen would tell you that though...
Read our posts before you post. We clearly said to download the Minecraft Server software which is required.
Does someone have a guide for this?
I've got the same problem (see here: http://www.worldofminecraft.com/node/11648)
Fresh Omen install, included the server file in the Omen folder but no dice. Are any of the people experiencing this issue using vista? Was wondering if it was an issue somehow with visa's sh*te virtual directory system and the fact that the core minecraft libraries are buried in %appdata%/roaming
find what they are called and go to you os drive open it then search for the first 3-5 letters of what the file is called for older computer go into search and hit all files and folders then do the same thing first with 3 than with 4 exc if you don't find them there not on your computer period
now can you help me?
