Overheat

This doesn't really have to do with Minecraft other than it's the only game I have played on my computer that has crashed it. I need help as to figure out why that is.

Already have a gaming laptop
I already have a gaming laptop, it's an HP Pavilion Entertainment laptop and it's overall gaming and graphics rating is 6.6 and I have it propped so it doesn't overheat as much but yet it still crashes and I have no idea what to do

Update drivers
Remove graphics drivers and install the latest.

Time to upgrade I think. My old PC couldn't handle it. I had to borrow my son's laptop. This one doesn't even say Boo to minecraft. It has enough horsepower to get the job done.
