I just tried it and it works. You should check with others first lol.

YOU need to connect to 127.0.0.1 or whatever your INTERNAL IP is, because you are an INTERNAL USER.
OTHER people need to connect to your EXTERNAL IP, because they are on the OTHER SIDE of the internet from the INTERNAL side. They are EXTERNAL USERS.
Just to recap for you... there's 2 different IP addresses depending on which side of the internet you are from the machine that is hosting the server. If the little packets of network data have to go across the internet, use the EXTERNAL IP. If not, then use the INTERNAL IP.
