If you are having the Pixel Acceleration error, are you using Windows XP? I have looked around and it seems that this is what most people with this problem, including me, are using.
OK, but I how much does a new driver cost? If it costs anything I am just gonna delete World of Minecraft from my computer and wait for a new version.
Getting a new video card isn't.
For getting a new video card, I strongly suggest going to NVIDIA. (You can find prices and such here)
And, just to let you know, a new version will not fix this error. You MUST update your video card drivers and/or get a new video card. No other option.
I can run Minecraft normally but does that make any difference?
Can you actually PLAY it? If so, then obviously you're good to go. If you CAN'T, and get a "Pixel format not accelerated" error, then you need a new video card/new drivers.
but not with World of Minecraft, so I guess I need to update my drivers.
But I seriously recommend you get a new video card. More likely to work. Using World of Minecraft WILL NOT make it so you don't have to get a new video card. All it does is add some awesome hax. That's it.
Hey, I have been searching for a new and compatible driver, everytime I do it wasn't the right bit size, then it just wasnt for my OS, then it would install and I would go to make it my primary driver and it would just tell me my drivers were already updated.
ATI Radeon Xpress 1150
is my driver, which seems impossible to update. (I hate these Dells, and this type of driver) so if you could possible find a compatible match, my OS is windows Vista basic, my computer is an Dell inspiron 1501, and something about an AMD Turion 64 (x2) mc.

It's not the OS that's the problem, it's your video card.
To run Minecraft, you require a video card that can run accelerated 3D, or OpenGL. If you get this error, try updating your drivers. If you STILL get it, get a new video card.
And also, to prove the "It's not the OS that's the problem", my other computer, which runs on Vista, cannot run Minecraft.
