A few days ago I found something cool when I was just searching for minecraft stuff, It is nice if you want an image ( png, jpg or gif files only ) to be converted to minecraft blocks. You can just ajust the size of the "pixels" and wich blocks are used.. The cool thing of it is that you can download it as MCEdit Schematic file ( more information on http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/13807-mcedit-minecraft-world-editor-compatible-with-mc-beta-18/ it is compatible with any version of minecraft so don't panic ;)   )
