Hi all.
I hope someone can help. We have been playing Minecraft on singleplayer (peaceful) etc and have built our first village. All was well and good then this morning I log on and almost next to us there is a massive village that has built overnight?
So the question is how and why has this happened on singleplayer?
Any help would be gratefully received.

Sorry, by we I mean't my daughter and I.
No Lan connection just playing on a from the Minecraft downloaded program (paid for) on a mac
Nothing changed in settings just singleplayer / peaceful
and within the distance there is a full on village that has sprung up?

that is naturally spawned, when you start a new world, you get villages, different biomes, 3 maps to play one such as overworld, or what your on now, the nether, get their by making a portal, and the end or where you battle the boss. you also get to see Jungle Temples and Desert Temples in your world. so there is more then meets the eye when you first start out on Minecraft, you just need to explore a bit

OK thanks so playing this way creative and peaceful my daughters creatiions are safe and will not be destoryed by another player and these other villages are computer spawned.

Just found on a wiki that it is NPC village
