Hi

So i want to play on a friends server, I have the IP to connect to 180.***.***.*** but obviously to use world of minecraft you need to have this play.jsp link. How can you get this?
And presumably a normal server will work right? So i can go onto the minecraft client and type in the IP and play fine, but would i be able to use this client?

Maybe

Maybe you can try this:

(i did not know it existed until 1 minute ago ^^)
it will work :D
EDIT:
ofcource you need to change 127.0.0.1 to your ip you need, and 25565 to the right port ;)

i tried this

i put in the right IP and the right port but it says that i was disconnected immediately.

Would this be something that needs to be changed serverside?

Me too. Not sure what I'm

Me too.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong...  I can connect to the server with the IP and port number when I use the regular Minecraft downloaded client, but with World of Minecraft it immediately disconnects.

apalling

It's appalling that there are virtually no instructions and that none of what is needed is automated in any way.   Also that no one who knows what to do bothers responding to any of the forum posts.

You guys are...

I think you are trying to connect to a beta server with the creative client.

The creative client (which allows you to fly, noclip etc) only connects to creative servers. This would be your problem, I think.
