hello im new here and someone suggested i get thw World of Minecraft client. so i came here and downloaded the client then i extracted the files as specified then put the minecraft.jar in the lib folder. when i run World of Minecraft.exe it comes up with a box saying log in so i use my minecraft account to log in. after maybe 5-10 seconds comes up with a box saying server timed out while getting server list then 3 buttons retry, cached and quit. if you close the box it says fatal error. so i click cached and the server box comes up and i want a new level for on the go with no internet connection it laggs for 5-15 seconds then pops up saying minecraft.net has timed out retry? or minecraft.net has returned incomplete server details then it lists server id, server port, and passcode and it says retry or quit.

my question to the forum is that if possible how do i fix when i sign in and it says retry or cached every time.
and the incomplete server details.

please help i am really confused as to why this is happening i have scowered this forum and youtube found nothing to help me.
