First off, you guys really need to READ the topic's DATE before POSTING on it.
I swear, there are so many topics that get bumped that were made a year or two before, and I'm always annoying Lunick by getting him to lock them.
So please, check the topic creation date before deciding to bump it.
Also, please make topics with different names. Topics with the same names will both be bumped, and usually the staff have to lock them because the topic is old.

A lot of the time (I'd go so far as to say most of the time) the actual bump comes from someone else creating a topic with the same name (unless that's been fixed, i haven't been on in a while) and even the best of us dont pay attention to the date. Until its fixed (unless it is) we'll always get the old topics showing up in the recent ones whether they are actually bumped by someone who isnt paying attention to the date or not.
Should people pay attention to the date, yes, absolutely, but that is sadly probably never going to happen for the majority of posters, and wouldn;t go all that far in solving the problem.
