I have a number of questions
1. has the way of logging in changed? Is it now an e-mail address and not a username?
I have a user name consisting of six letters and a password. I put these both in when I log onto the World of Minecraft client. The user name shows up when I chat in classic. I want to get a different character to go on classic.( I am a mod and I want to check some things that a guest would experience.)
2. Where can I register the user name and password to use as a new user?
3.Do I now have to use my password as my username?
4. I can get to the client list with my e-mail address and password but when I go on my world it recognises me as the old user and as a mod rank? how can I get round this?
5. I can't find what version of World of Minecraft I am using but when it failed a few months ago I downloaded XWOM and am using that does that matter to my password problem?
I am using java 6 (wEnt back after probs between World of Minecraft and jave) and XP.

Hey matelo! Remember me? Designer on Acheron? I know you are a builder. As for World of Minecraft, it has changed a lot. The way of logging in has NOT changed however. You need World of Minecraft for this, but it has the exact same hax as World of Minecraft does. Download XWoM v1.9 at MCDzienny.cba.pl... It will have your usual speed, fly, no-clip, and jump hax, with lower fail rate.

I dont think you read my question? I asked how I could get another account name and password.
As I am sure you know I am already on servers. I already use XWOM.

I have tried to register again on minecraft, it gives me a space to put an e-mail address and password but nowhere to put a 'silly' name that shows up on the server as me.
I have to log onto World of Minecraft as the e-mail address.
I assume you are saying I register for a mojang account as that is all I can find that it will let me do on minecraft.
Please clarify you first line.

It seems as though the minecraft.net registration procedure has changed, which will mean that for those that now need to register/login with a Mojang account, there will be 2 small steps required to successfully login to any server.
Simply create the new account, login to the World of Minecraft client with your Mojang account's email and password, choose a server but change the section of the URL which contains your email to your Minecraft Username and then enter it.
In regards to your other questions, I will answer them as follows:
2. Because of the change in registration procedures, it seems as though this is no longer possible. You may try registering a different email as a Mojang account and to login with that.
3. Definitely not.
4. Refer to 2.
5. I'm not entirely sure on how to check the version you're using. You can try checking your browser's download history, or searching for the original .zip file in your computer.

I tried to log on with my e-mail and password. I get the server list page but no servers listed? Luckily I have saved a few that I go to so I clicked on them, some of them dont have my user name they have

The ones that do have my username have
i.e.
mc://71.1.62.25.154.28786/ <my user name> / row of numbers and letters
if I change the user name to something else they all say
connection lost
could not verify player name.
If I log on with my usual user name and password I get all the servers listed, if I try to change the user name ,even on the ones I tried before, I still get
connection lost
could not verify player name
I am using the latest version of xwom but It is 2.0.7 [2] version of World of Minecraft though I dont see that making any difference.

of course if I go to the server list and click on one of my saved servers it shows my old username and not the e-mail address.
I cant get a server when I log on as my new mojang account (e-mail address and password) because the server list is empty?

If it's XWoM, can't really help you there. You should try asking the maker of XWoM.

as I understand it xwom just gets around the errors in World of Minecraft. It then uses World of Minecraft to get to the server so it should have no influence on the problem I have.
The problem is one caused by minecraft its a shame they don't have the decency to explain what they have done, why and how to get on to a server to play the game.
I suspect they don't support classic any more and resent the fact that it is so popular. Now that they can't screw the users out of more money they are putting as many walls in the way in the hope of stopping people getting on the game.

To get a new account you would need to visit minecraft.net and make another account there.
After you have done this, you would log in like you do for the account you use now, but using the new username/password on the new account.
