Well for some reason (most likely to do with boredom) I decided to start a world on my school computers, and it is one of the best populated worlds I've had so far (there's even an ever-burning forest fire type fiasco going on near my spawn point). I want to keep it, but obviously as I'm on a college campus computer it won't be here by the time I get back from class.
I've got a USB stick with 3.7 gigs on it, and I want to know if it's possible to get the world I have on to it so I can take it home to my laptop.
I'm assuming I just download the client, install it on the stick (if there's enough room) and load up the world?
Can I get some help on this? I'm already late for class, because this world is just to much to lose.
Thanks, Chucknormous.
My AntiVirus says that this is a Virus?
Don't worry, it's a "false positive":

I play this version in school and it works perfect. On the school pc's, you have no admin rights, so you can't put Minecraft to "AppData/.minecraft". This version works completely on my USB-Drive:)

There's someone called "0bfu5kh4t0r" who managed it to make Minecraft fully portable. Try his version:
