Problem loading servers and singleplayer

Whenever I connect to a server from now on I get the following error:

It started a while ago after I left World of Minecraft running and it did something weird. I have already tried deleting the old files but to no avail.
All MC windows gives is a small box that eventually makes Java crash. Minecraft itself, including the Alpha Client online and downloaded still remain to work as they should. Only World of Minecraft has decided to no longer function properly.

minecraft server more ram?
it says try running with
java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar
but i dont know how. please help

I'm getting the exact same problem. It started a couple days ago, and I'm just getting around to searching the support forums for an answer. So far, no luck.
