Problems port forwading for hosting server
hey guys im having problems port forwarding and i wanna know wat to do
Simple solution:
If you can't figure it out from there, you're doing something wrong. it might also help to provide some more details like what your router is, what you've already done, etcetera.
Yep
Yep, portforward.com will give you all of the necessary steps too, click your router, skip the add for pfconfig, or download it if you wish to do it that way, then follow the steps provided on the website. It'll give you the same steps that I provided, but I believe there are screenshots on the website to help guide you through it.
Wow...
Wow.. you could have at least told us the problems.

Well, I cant port forward either, because my router wont allow it, but if your's does, here is what you do.
1. Go to run/search and type cmd (or go to start, and find it in the accessories called command prompt).
2. Once in the command prompt type ipconfig.
3. Find the number next to default gateway (probably 192.168.0.1, or 192.168.1.1)
4. Type that number into your browser search bar (where you'd type worldofminecraft.com to come here)
5. That should bring up your router or modem
6. If it comes up with a login screen try using the username admin and the password admin, if that doesnt work, try finding your router manual
7. If the router allows for port forwarding the option should be somewhere within this screen.
8. This part is pasted from yahoo answers, becuase I've never done this myself. Set up the port forward like this.
Name=Minecraft
TCP=25565
Schedule=Always
Ip address=dont put anything
udp=25565
inbond filter=allow all
That should be it, let me / the rest of the forum know if you have any problems. The only problems I could forsee are that perhaps your router doesnt allow for port forwarding, or you do not have admin access on your computer, but hopefully everything will work out fine for you.
