what is herobrine:Herobrine(Pronunciation) is the subject of a community-made "creepy-pasta" (creepy story). He is one of the major community icons of Minecraft.Herobrine has NOT been present in ANY version of Minecraft. don't believe me look here http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Herobrine all the info right there "he" is a creepy pasta read it here http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/Herobrine and look at the version the picture at the bottom of the creepy pasta. it says minecraft alfa. if that isn't enough well he is just some forum troll post that became a big thing it is not up due to him deleting his account and the post was deleted. and all of the sighting were FAKE they all started after that troll kinda like null and entity 303 and entity 303 was made by speedyw03 and null was made by AlongCameJosh. but that doesn't mater. herobrine was all based off that one big 5 min long troll post. and all that points too herobrine is fake. and btw null and entity 303 are both FAKE. comment what you think is this enough proof that we have all been trolled.
Lel even 10 year olds know Herobrine isn't a thing at this point
Agreed,this joke has gone too far.
Herobrine is super real and here's the proof.
I'VE SEEN HIM
how about we drop it and lock it?
I guess you could say that Herobrine is real since there is a player with that name though...
@Taro1500, @Artbot
You know there is a thing called hackers, right? People have the technology to hack into singleplayer worlds, LAN servers and worldwide servers.
@ssfdre38 (Comment 1)+
And you know what? Xbox 360 Minecraft has tips on the loading screen, and they haven't taken this one off, "We think 4J Studios has remove Herobrine from the Xbox 360 Edition, but we're not sure yet."
That is a joke to me
@PixlPlex
Well, he may be a making a joke about it and posing to be herobrine, but if he is a hacker, then he could be trying to fool people. Either that or hackers are hacking his account and using it.
@ssfdre38 (Comment 2)
LOL!!!!
Redstone, single player is offline...
People hack into your network, find your internal ip and then hack the game on your PC.
I second ssfdre, why is this post not locked yet, it's bringing out the trolls.
Hey, I'd lock it but everytime I think it's died on it's own someone comes along and makes me wish I had popcorn
I know Herobrine is fake, but i am tying to explain the sightings of him. Hackers are the reason.
P.S. If you are offline(As in not connected to internet at all, includes mobile data,) and witnessed Herobrine There is either a virus or a bug ro a glitch(or you are seeing things, LoL).
P.P.S Offline in this case does not mean in a single player world, it means only what I said in parentheses.
Redstone you really need to cite your sources. It's like you barely read a post before replying to it.
People don't have to be on the same network as you to find your IP. And if someone were to infect your computer, I doubt it would manifest itself as a character in a video game.
@Artbot
Um, well, internal IP's are what your PC is bound to, and those are unique to the extent of inside your network. For example, say the internal IP of one computer on one network is 192.169.0.16, on a different network there could be a computer with the same IP. This is because internal IPs are not visible to the world, but only to the network, which is why there is no conflict between the two IPs. Now the External IPs belong to the router and is visible to the world. So, someone would have to hack into the network, (He would not have to connect to it) and view the internal IPs and plant the virus. Firewall would have a very slim chance of detecting it because the first thing they design the virus to do is get past the default security. Also, some people read posts like the Herobrine one on creepypasta and decide to make it real, so they could direct it to be a fake character in game. Anything with WiFi capabilities has an internal IP, so if you saw it on a PE world, then the same answer. Same with Xbox. Now, it may not be harmful, but I have heard of Herobrine sightings and then poof, their PC has a virus. So, you could kind of say he is real, but he is not real at the same time. (Do you get what I mean?) Anyway, I actually read through the whole post and all the comments.
P.S. Who said anything about the hacker being on the network, all he has to do is find the external IP, get past router security, and find the internal IP, get past that security, and plant the whatever you wanna call it. Because once he gets past your PC's security, he can mess with anything on your PC. So, everything is remote.
P.P.S. Hey, I never said it was easy!
As stated previously, unlike Red up there, I have proof that Herobribe exists.
"Herobrine" is fake as stated by Mojang's @Kappische, @JahKob and even @Dinnerbone.
Read this page for more information. And as Notch once said; go read a science, people!
