Hi all I'm Fryguy and I help run things at Surgegaming.net

We have just spent a week planning and building the start of a new PVP server after many resets and becoming progressively more bored of simply building! the environment is amazing, and all advantages possible to gain to others (hidden items etc) have been removed, so it was a very fair start ;). The server will have plenty of admins to kick/ban, but only one whom is able to change things / spawn things. Though a trustworthy guy he has proven himself very able to separate his own game from the ability to spawn things on multiple resets.

Heres the deal:

- Head to http://www.surgegaming.net/minecraft for the page. 

- We want to build a community preferably on ventrilo, up to the 100s, on a PVP server.

- It will be quite lawless and alot of PVP/thieving with plenty traps to boot. We have land buying / economy mods to add to the challenge and fun. You will start in a safe zone port city with npc vendors and all sorts.

- We don't want people treating this as a desperate game to be the best but generally to have a joke with each other.

- We will however be putting out many competitions, starting with weekly prizes moving possibly to bigger things!

- To get on the server you need to fill a form out at the above site under "Forms" (right of navigation bar). This will then need to be approved, you can then see the forums with necessary information etc and you name listed not to be banned.

- Again I stress this is an attempt to build a foundation of players willing to put the energy and time into the funnest mechanics of pvp. We will encourage grouping and uniforms!

- The map is beautiful to behold. It is a port town wedged into some amazing natural mountains. We have a ship of the line built have a look! But this is a safe zone with trade etc, with pvp disabled until a certain radius.

- Just as a final mention we will be cracking down on the use of hacks and unintended game play mechanics. We have our methods and techniques for tracking and recognizing this, be sure anybody will be permanently banned with no chance of revoke on the first strike.
