Red stone torches wont restrike 80% of the time, then they never do in that spot Help?

somethimes all of a sudden a redstone torch wont re strike, no matter what i have to compleatly move everything for it to work again, even if i deleat it and re make it with new materials it still doesnt work! what am i doing wrong? this happens alot. and if more then one redstone torch doesnt work everything on that line will stop working too
for ever... whats a fix for this? or am i doing anything wrong? this is killing HOURS of hard work i have waisted many hours trying to fix this, i have tryed everything i can think of i have no idea what starts this or how to fix this... i was making a 8 bit AUI with 3, 7 segment displays and now everything i did is messed up becouse a bunch of redstone torches will not re light up after they have been turned off :/ HELP!

Hmm

I think you messed the redstone wires a little up, making them crash..
DO NOT DO THIS:
- = redstone wire
O = redstone torch
X = block

xxxx
---O

This causes the redstone path above to lighten up too, and probaly mess up your redstone machine.

thats not that im doing

theres nothing under just dirt rocks, and what ever else -- heres what i do
(using same key)

---XXO ----   XO (when it is XO this means that the torch is on the side of the block *in frount*) WAIT! i signed onto minecraft to make a video of my problem and everything works now! it must have been fixed :) stay tuned if i run into this again :/
