Ok, people have been asking the same questions over and over again so I'll answer them here:
Regarding Public SMP:
- There will be a new map for 1.3 but some old builds will be moved
from the old map to the new map. The main reason for the new map is
because we want new chunks to spawn and a lot have already been
explored. Also don't ask us when 1.3 is because the date hasnt been
announced, just stop worrying about it. We will tell you when the time
comes - The ip smp.womjr.com most likely won't be permanent and will
probably be publicsmp.womjr.com or psmp.womjr.com in the future but that
is up to H4X. - The server will also get a Dynamic Map soon if H4X does whatever he does with that
Regarding World of Minecraft - SMP:
- This server will not come back until Mojang releases the Mod API
which is currently slated for 1.4. Public SMP has NOT replaced our SMP
and when and if the old SMP comes back, it will resume on the
smp.womjr.com ip.
If any of this info is wrong then H4X/MrSnowGlobe/moujave/Triddin will surely correct it for me. This is just to stop you guys from worrying so much...

Since I hadn't been on in a while and just got premium, I join the public server thinking it was the one you had to have reputation for... Turns out I was on the public one, like everyone else.

It allows plugins and such to be developed easier for people to make mods and server software.

Just gonna give this a bump in saying that 1.3 has a date of August 1st but who knows if they will keep their word.

So cause they are still working on bug fixes, On the next update, its going to be Minecraft 1.3.1 and 1.3 is the pre-release version so just an update and also is going to be harder to do client side so xray might just be gone from the client cause they are making their own obfuscation to block it

The public smp server (the one that I play the most) will update to 1.3.1 so.. I can't do anything but wait for this server to update?

what is the diffrence to public smp and World of Minecraft smp?
And this minecraft prem i keep hearing about, is that just basically haveing a legit copy of minecraft, or like a repeat subscribtion. Iv looked on minecraft offical forums but see northink.

ok first off public SMP and World of Minecraft SMP are 2 different servers, Public SMP is the one that is online but its more clamer and no pvp, pvp is not that at all. Now Minecraft prem is you paying for Minecraft so you not playing Minecraft Classic (World of Minecraft Reamls) and you can play on SMP servers, change skinks and do so much more

Simply to put it:
Public SMP was for anyone, even if they are not a major part of the World of Minecraft Community. All you had to do was sign up on this website.
World of Minecraft SMP was only for World of Minecraft: Realms members who had reached the Artist rank and beyond.
