"Registry refers to a nonexistent JRE installation or the runtime is corrupted" error

I followed a tutorial to downlaod the World of Minecraft client and I have the latest Java. However, whenever I try and start the World of Minecraft client it gives me an error titled Launch4j, that say s "The registry refers to a nonexistent Java Runtime Enviroment installation or the runtime is corrupted.
The system cannot find the path specified."
