how do i do the following
1. make a portal on main level that teleports to another level
2. make a guest spawn in area. like World of Minecraft:Main.

what are you trying to say? are you saying that you want to know how to make a portal in the main classic server? if that portals are not able to be made in creative servers if your trying to make it in the survivol servers i dont think it's able to iam pretty sure it's only for single player.
now you said "make a guest spawn in area like World of Minecraft:main" what do you mean by that? are you refering to the mod+ command /bring and why are you refering the making spawn guest to a server?

Thank you for replying. Let me make it clearer.
I am in a clan and they asked me to setup a minecraft classic server for freebuild, much like World of Minecraft Main. I am asking how do i set the spawn point where anyone who enters the server. as of right now, they spawn in the middle of the map.
2) Th portal. What i mean by that is how do i make a portal that would take players in my server to another map onstead of typing/goto. Ex; i join my server and i hve another map(level2) on the server. how do i make a portal that i can step into that takes me to level2 without me typing in /goto level2.
other servers ive seen have like water and ypu jump into it and it takes you that way.

For making a spawn point try /setspawn that should do it.

Thanks :) , umm sorry i dont know how to make assigned areas i don't think thats possible when making a server dedicated on your computer try using a program to set up a server maybe they'l have that option for you.

if you use mclawl to run your server you can make a 5x5 square thats only for an admin

I got the 5x5 area figured out.
I am still stuck on the portal part. I got a portal alternative where i can click on a block and that takes me to another level but I would appreciate it if someone can help me on the method ive mentioned above.
I also found a new problem. How can i make the doors where you destroy1 block and the other ones destroy also and respawn after 3-5 seconds. Any help is appreciated!

To make make portal that is walkable, type "/portal air" for air or "/portal water" and "/portal lava" for water and lava.... then place the exit portal somewhere on the other map... then type "/portal show" 2 times to remove the block without destroying it.

Hey, I tried the portal method; works great. I wanted to make a portal to and from 1 level to another but the other portal doesnt show up but thats fine.

i didnt really understand your question but i can tell u this:
/door makes door which if physics are 1-5 dissapear and then reappear
/door appears as tree
after /door u can put different blocks like this
/door_iron /door_wood /door_glass /door_obsidian
and there is a special one: /door_green which instead of disapearing turns green and acts like a switch ( just like redstone from the beta )
