I've been using World of Minecraft for quite a while with no problems whatsoever. But now today i run the client, and no servers show up like they usually do. And yes i have read the sticky, and i am logging in with my minecraft name/password, and no i don't have any wierd characters or numbers in my password or name.
I literally haven't done anything different since day one of downloading the client. i've tried redownloading and installing world of minecraft several times.
i have windows vista home premium 32 bit
windows firewall
JRE 6 update 20
anti-virus spybot s&d
OS is up to date i assume, even if it wasn't that can't be the problem because it worked fine before.
i haven't downloaded anything or done any changes to my computer in several months. pretty much the only programs i use are firefox, ventrillo, world of warcraft, and itunes, and until recently world of minecraft client -.-.

the first picture link is what i get when i try to normally run the client, and no servers come up. the second picture link is what comes up when i try to run it as administrator, and the server list never even comes up because it fails.
Not according to java.com... On the front page theres a button to click that says "Free java download" and it says its the latest java. I even verified my java version through the website and got this.
"
Verified Java Version
Congratulations!
You have the recommended Java installed (Version 6 Update 20)."
And even if it was my java that wouldn't explain why it would work one day and then all of a sudden stop working?
It is directing itself to Java 6 update 3. In your run.bat, change the
java="auto"
to
java="where ever Java 6u20 is"
well i went ahead and just deleted all other javas except for java 6 update 20, and now its directing itself to the JRE6 but the server list still doesn't show up?

Your version of Java is too old to be compatible. Download the latest version.
