I figured out another way to customize World of Minecraft. AND I made a guide of how to do it!

Materials:
Latest WoM
Image Editor (RWPaint, GIMP, or Paint.NET recommended!)
Creativity

Step One: Here are the images you have to edit:
WoM/lib/minecraft/rock.png
WoM/lib/minecraft/rain.png
WoM/lib/minecraft/water.png
WoM/lib/minecraft/particles.png
WoM/lib/minecraft/default.png (optional, it's the font, and by the way, ignore the corrupted .gif)
WoM/lib/minecraft/gui/gui.png

Step Two: Now to get to the real stuff. Edit the images as you please! Colorizing (recoloring!) the images is a good way, but be sure to add effects to truly make it your own.

Step Three: Congrats! You have customized the World of Minecraft client! And if you're making it a public client skin, copy all the images from step one into a folder and upload it onto a DIRECT DOWNLOAD file sharing website.

Anyone like this idea?

Yeah, it's been around for a while now. A lot of older texture pack links have GUI edits which is what you call skinning the client.
