Ok as many poeple know (or most) when we try to connect to a SMP server its will say Connection Refused: connect but as many do not know is.... why? well, i believe that it is being updated or such a thing, please tell me if i'm wrong.

SMP is not that glitchy if you get on a good server, but Java in itself is laggy and not really made for games of this scope.

Had the same problem a while ago, make sure that minecraft port 25565 is not being blocked, try the online test at minecraft.icannotconnect.com it will tell you if it's being blocked.

4 out of 6 servers do that to me and the other 2 say java lang expectation thing!!!
