SMP Doesn't Work??

I'm really upset! Whenever I try to go onto ANY minecraft smp server, it just says about 3 different errors. For example, one of them is;
Internal Exception: java.net.socketexception:connection reset by peer:socket write er(and it ends there :L)
Please, please, PLEASE, help me -.-
