SMP Server help

I'm trying to get an SMP server running I have everything working and up but it's running off of hamachi for now because I don't know what I need to do to connect.
I am running my internet off of an ethernet cord so...what do i need to do so other people can connect..instructions (preferably detailed) would be amazing..

1. Find your external IP address you can find it by searching 'what's my IP' in google or any search engine.
2. It could be that your firewall is blocking people from connecting to your IP, either change the settings or disable it.
3. They have strict NAT types and that needs to change.
4. I forget.... i think ti might be something to do with the server settings.properties file, hope i helped.
